Erin Oehler brings experience from multiple state agencies and has effectively handled complex matters involving employment law, workers’ compensation, and regulatory compliance.

Before coming to Auman, Mahan, & Furry, Erin most recently served as an Associate Assistant Attorney General in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, where she represented the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation in Common Pleas Courts across the state.  

Previously, Erin served as Associate General Counsel for the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.  In that role, she drafted Agency regulations, policies, and directives; oversaw all Agency contracts; advised on sensitive employment matters; and conducted high profile workplace investigations. Additionally, she represented the Agency in Probate and Family Courts and ensured Agency compliance with federal and state laws. 

In South Carolina, Erin also presided over unemployment hearings as a Hearing Officer with the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, during the unprecedented unemployment period caused by the COVID pandemic. 

She is admitted to practice in Ohio, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

Erin earned her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she served on the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
